New marine gen.set

Next Generation Power, Jacksonville, Fla., has introduced the Ultra-Compact Marine (UCM), an 8 kW diesel gen-set. A three-cylinder Kubota diesel drives a Stamford-Newage generator, developing the 8 kW at 2800 rpm. The new gen-set is the largest in the company's line of marine gen-sets, joining the single-cylinder UCM 1-3.5 kW and the two-cylinder UCM 2-5.5 kW. The set is seen as applicable for midsize vessels, and measures 23 in. long by 18.5 in. wide x 20 in. high, weighing 295 lb.
