Ecuador's diesel-powered electric generators forced to pay for diesel - Around the World of Diesel
According to a report from BusinessNews Americas, diesel-electric generators have stiffed the state oil company (Petroecuador) for $100 million in unpaid diesel bills. Under a contingent loan agreement with International Monetary Fund (IMF), the electricity producers will join a trust fund that forces them to pay their diesel bills on time.
